"Boredom is different nowadays. It’s about super-saturation, distraction, restlessness. I am often bored but it’s not for lack of options: a thousand TV channels, the bounty of Netflix, countless net radio stations, innumerable unlistened-to albums, unwatched DVDs and unread books, the maze-like archive of YouTube. Today’s boredom is not hungry, a response to deprivation; it is a loss of cultural appetite, in response to the surfeit of claims on your attention and time."
- Simon Reynolds, Retromania: Pop Culture’s Addiction to Its Own Past (via echymosis)
Turn it all off and boredom goes away.

Consumers always want a bargain, but never think to know the consequences of that “bargain”. Garment workers are some of the most underpaid people of the world and often deal with dangerous conditions and long hours. As people continue to demand lower prices, they are actaully aiding in allowing these companies to pay garment workers even lower and lower wages. Not only are we limting these people their social and humane rights we are aslo limiting them their ability to live their life fairly. Fast fashion retailers are also harming our world and not just throught consumer textile waste. Chemical pollution of rivers and toxic emmisions are jsut some of the bi-products of producing fast fashion clothing. Be a change and help make our world a better place one piece of clothing at a time. Please take our survey! And for more info about the global side effects of fast fashion watch “The True Cost” on netflix!
